The FIGHT WEEKEND, hosted by Jake Hamilton and the FIGHT CREW, is open to a limited group of 12 men who want to depart “business as usual” and enter into a sacred space known throughout tribal cultures as “initiatory experience” where we can make agreement with our story and become acquainted with death. This is an opportunity to experience what it means to be a man. There are no participation trophies, no medals for effort, there is no sensitivity training or tests of endurance, this weekend is about connecting your story to your life. There are tools for this. TheFIGHT:ONE DAY, hosted by Jake Hamilton and the FIGHT CREW, is 6 hour IN-PERSON event open to a limited group men who want to depart “business as usual” and enter into a sacred space known throughout tribal cultures as “initiatory experience”. There is not much that can be solved in one day but there is a lot that can be started. At TheFIGHT:ONE DAY we will explore the ancient pathways of initiation and the power of masculinity through the four steps we call “the path”. Transitioning from boyhood to manhood is not something that will happen easily or without cost. There is a tempering that occurs in a community of men when we learn to engage in our story and take responsibility for our lives only then can we own who we are and discover who we could be. All of this will be made practical by creating our own “fight maps”, outlining our personal journey; where that has led us to today and where we want to be in the future focused on the core areas of faith, family, finance, formation, friendship, fitness, and fun, what we call our “7 Pillars of Masculinity”. Growth is invitational but it is not optional for those who long to live in the fullness they were created for.

As part of the European tour, Jake Hamilton is coming to the CGFR. The afternoon will focus on families and parenting and give attendees the opportunity to engage directly with Jake at the Q&A session.
