The FIGHT WEEKEND, hosted by Jake Hamilton and the FIGHT CREW, is open to a limited group of 12 men who want to depart “business as usual” and enter into a sacred space known throughout tribal cultures as “initiatory experience” where we can make agreement with our story and become acquainted with death. This is an opportunity to experience what it means to be a man. There are no participation trophies, no medals for effort, there is no sensitivity training or tests of endurance, this weekend is about connecting your story to your life. There are tools for this. But there will be no sitting on the sidelines, no spectating, you show up, you risk and you will walk away renewed, strengthened, challenged and forever changed by your experience.
WHAT TO EXPECT + WHAT THE COST INCLUDES: Your $1500 registration fee includes the lodging, the food, as well as all other activities over the course of the weekend. We take great care to make sure that the you have space and beds that are comfortable and accommodating regardless of the city we host our gatherings in. All accommodations are shared at each of our locations but there will be plenty of beds and space for each man who attends. The food is also taken care of by a trusted and experienced member of our team as well since we know that for men food is not an afterthought its a priority.
We have designed an immersive and formative experience that will help you identify your pain, make sense of your story, and define a path forward all in the midst of like-minded men who radically pursuing the same thing from their own unique perspective. We will be using tools from several experienced sources all with the goal of helping you fully engage your story so that you can confidently and courageously show up to your daily life. Every man will be required to bring a written 800 - 1200 word significant and marking story from their own lives that they will share in radical vulnerability before this group of men. Throughout the rest of the day we will enjoy meals together, teaching and definitely a significant amount of play and fun all before we settle in for the evenings ancient mythological story around a campfire, the way men have done for centuries.
JUST A COUPLE MORE THINGS: Registration is available to the first 12 people who make a non-refundable deposit or pay in full for their spot. This covers food, lodging and supplies, it does NOT cover your travel expenses or transport to and from the airport. The first 12 men to make the $500 non-refundable deposit will have a space held until September 5 when the remainder of the cost is due.
IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION: You must fly into Dallas, TX (DFW or Love Field) on October 12 with enough time to drive 2hrs to the home we will be staying at. We will provide the address once your registration is paid in full. Once registered you will gain access to a private Facebook Group where you can sort ride sharing to and from the location. You must arrive at the location between 5-7pm, no earlier, no later, if you arrive after 7pm you will NOT be allowed to join us and there will be no refunds, so please plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time.
